2022 Spätburgunder Rotwein trocken

Our Pinot Noir grows in Briedel, where my parents planted the vines 35 years ago – hand-harvested, organically farmed, traditionally fermented open on the skins and matured in grandpa's old, large wooden cask. In the glass it sparkles fresh ruby red, with wild berries and morello cherry on the nose. On the palate it's lively and cheerful, with lovely lingering structure and silky tannin. We like to drink it lightly chilled in summer, and in autumn and winter it's one of our favourites – it even has a calming, captivating effect on me personally. A wholehearted recommendation for every Pinot Noir lover: you won't find this kind of value for money anywhere else so quickly. Spätburgunder, incidentally, is the German name for the world-famous Pinot Noir – and on the Mosel it grows on slate soils rarely found elsewhere.
