2025 Reiler Falklay Riesling, Dry

The Falklay is the last vineyard we harvest in autumn – a cool site where the grapes need time to ripen, and that very time gives them a character found in none of our other wines. Small berries, low yield, a colour somewhere between gold and quince that signals from a distance this isn't a simple wine in the glass. Ripe quince, a touch of pear, an aroma that doesn't reveal itself all at once but keeps unfolding through the second and third sip. Yet it stays drinkable, almost inviting, never heavy or demanding. For me, it's the wine in our range I most enjoy drinking myself – not because it's the most expensive or elaborate, but because every year it tells a slightly different story about what this site is capable of. It also has the potential to age for years in the cellar, if you give it the patience to do so.
