We are the Arns family

Richard studied viticulture in Geisenheim and is still involved with all his heart – he most enjoys looking after the technology: tractors, the bottling line, the press, everything that runs and has to keep running. But he is truly in his element at a wine tasting or tour, when he tells guests about the wines – you can see it in him. At the end of the day on the terrace he drinks our dry estate bottling, ideally neat and without any fuss.

Martina looks after our holiday apartments and the bookkeeping and is usually the first to pick up the phone when guests call. Over the past few years she taught herself gentle vine pruning in the vineyard, and at harvest time she makes sure the picking crew is well fed. Her wine is the Briedeler Weißerberg – she has known that vineyard since her childhood.

I studied viticulture in Geisenheim, with internships in Trentino and Valais, before taking over the estate in 2021. What occupies me most is the vineyard itself – the balance of the vines, the life in the soil, symbioses and natural processes, solutions without much chemistry and technology. I love all our wines – if I had to choose, it would probably be the Reiler Falklay.

Like me, Caro studied viticulture in Geisenheim – that's where we met. She keeps the books for our sparkling wine and generally has an eye for design in the business, from the choice of labels to the tasting. Her wine is our Riesling extra brut – hardly any residual sweetness, lots of freshness, right on point.

Pauline is a whirlwind and loves flowers, cooking and decorating, Jakob is the tech fan and up for any machine or computer. With us it's already clear what they like best: our white grape juice, ideally as a spritzer. Only when wine is made from „their“ grapes after all are the two a little disappointed.
