2025 Pinot Gris Dry

We have two vineyards planted with Pinot Gris in Reil. One was planted when Alexander was still a child. The other was added around ten years later. The vines are between 10 and 25 years old, hand-harvested, certified organic.

Internationally the variety is known as Pinot Grigio or Pinot Gris – in bulk it can sometimes come across as unremarkable, flat or not especially complex, but that's exactly why we put so much heart into making a wonderful wine that genuinely flies the flag for this grape. Ours has less acidity than a Riesling, but is fuller-bodied and creamier on the palate. It pairs well with porcini risotto, and just as well with white meat or poultry.

A wine for anyone who thought they didn't like Pinot Gris – maybe they'd just met the wrong ones.
